NutritionCb – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This privacy policy explains how the NutritionCb app handles your information. The app is published on Google Play by LiliApps.
1. Summary
NutritionCb is an offline study app for students of BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics. It has no user account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your own device. The developer does not collect, receive, sell or share any of your personal data.
2. Information the app stores on your device
The app saves the following only on your device, in its private app storage:
- Your settings, such as curriculum edition (HEC 2025 or HEC 2016), semester, theme, units and learning goal.
- Your study progress, bookmarks, recent searches, and quiz and flashcard progress.
- Things you create in the app, such as recipes, diet plans, clinical case answers, internship logbook entries, and project notes and tasks.
The study content and the food composition data (from USDA FoodData Central) are built into the app. They are not downloaded from the internet and do not require an account.
None of this information is sent to the developer or to anyone else. The developer cannot see it.
3. Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and it does not use the Advertising ID.
4. Device backup
If Android backup is turned on in your phone's settings, Android may include this app's data in your own Google account backup so it can be restored on a new phone. Your phone's settings control this, not the app, and the developer has no access to it. You can turn backup off at any time in Android settings.
5. Permissions
The app works fully offline. It requests only one permission:
- Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): used only to tell you when a source link cannot be opened because you are offline.
The app does not request access to the internet, your location, camera, microphone, contacts, files, phone or notifications.
When you tap "Open source" on a reference, the link opens in your web browser. From then on, that website's own privacy policy applies.
6. Patient information
The internship logbook and clinical case screens warn users never to enter patient names, CNIC numbers, phone numbers, addresses, hospital record numbers or any other information that could identify a person. The app is not designed to store patient records. Please follow this warning.
7. Health information
The app is for education only. Calculator results and study notes are not medical advice and are not a substitute for a qualified health professional. Anything you type into a calculator stays on your device.
8. Children
The app is intended for university students and adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
9. Deleting your data
- You can delete individual items (recipes, plans, logbook entries, projects) inside the app.
- Settings > Reset learning progress deletes your progress, recent activity and saved items.
- Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything the app has stored.
10. Third-party services
The app does not include any third-party services that collect information.
11. Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If the app ever begins collecting any data, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
